1. Who are we
STEMAZING is a non-profit social enterprise dedicated to inspiration and inclusion in STEM.
We work with women in STEM, allies, educators, organisations, institutions and families to collectively build a more diverse and inclusive STEM future.
We support STEM role models to empower themselves and inspire the next generation, and we work with Primary Schools to raise awareness and aspirations in STEM and smash gender stereotypes!
Our Site is owned and operated by STEMAZING, a limited company registered in England under company number 12328815.
This Privacy Policy applies only to your use of Our Site. Our Site may contain links to other websites. Please note that We have no control over how your data is collected, stored, or used by other websites and We advise you to check the privacy policies of any such websites before providing any data to them.

Women in STEM Role Models
As a Role Model, we need to collect additional information to enable you to take part in the programme. The data you give to us will be used for general programme coordination, safeguarding, reporting and monitoring.

Photo & Video permissions
Photos that are shared on our website and social media platforms have either:

Been taken with parent / carer written consent given to STEMAZING for the use of the images / videos

Been shared by a school / partner organisation with written permission from that organisation that the images / videos can be used on our website, social media and marketing platforms

Been reshared (or a screenshot taken) from a social media platform that a school or partner organisation has shared directly themselves.
6. On what lawful basis we use your information
We will comply with Our obligations and safeguard your rights under the Data Protection Act 1998 and GDPR at all times.
We have a lawful basis for collecting your data as set out in section 3, “Why we collect that Information”, and for using the data for the purposes described in section 5, “What we use your information for”.

Role Models only – Lawful basis for processing special category data
The lawful basis we rely on to process any information you provide as part of your application, which is special category data, is article 9(2)(g) of the GDPR. This relates to processing for reasons of substantial public interest and the safeguarding of your fundamental rights. In addition Schedule 1 part 2(8) of the DPA2018 which relates to processing for equality of opportunity or treatment purposes.
7. Who we share your information with
We may compile statistics about the use of Our Site including data on traffic, usage patterns, user numbers, sales, and other information. All such data will be anonymised and will not include any personally identifying data, or any anonymised data that can be combined with other data and used to identify you.
We may from time to time share such data with third parties such as prospective investors, affiliates, partners, and advertisers. Data will only be shared and used within the bounds of the law.
